On Monday, December 23, 2024, and Tuesday, December 24, 2024, our representative Sakamoto served as an instructor for the training session titled “Utilizing Generative AI for Teaching Material Development (Day 1) and General School Operations (Day 2).”
This training was divided into Course 1 (held over both days, December 23 and 24) and Course 2 (held only on December 24). On Day 1 (December 23), participants learned the basics of generative AI, its usage considerations, and practical examples of its application. Following this, they engaged in exercises to create curricula, teaching materials, and assignments using generative AI, concluding with discussions and presentations within their groups to share their creations and ideas for implementation.
On Day 2 (December 24), alongside a condensed introduction to generative AI, participants explored its application in non-educational general school operations. Specifically, they participated in group-work exercises focused on using generative AI to streamline administrative tasks, with a primary focus on public relations. The session concluded with group presentations of their results, followed by a discussion and exchange of ideas on how generative AI can be utilized within their own schools.
This training session was organized by Zenkoku Senmongakko Kyoikukenkyukai, and was primarily targeted at its member schools.
